Why EdgeIQ exists
Most sports predictions online are opinions with no record attached. EdgeIQ takes the opposite approach: every projection comes from a documented statistical model, is saved before the game starts, and is graded afterwards. Anyone can see how the model performs — including when it performs poorly.
What we do
- Publish win probabilities and projected scores for upcoming games across six leagues.
- Explain the factors behind each projection in plain language.
- Track accuracy, calibration and error for every model version in the Model Lab.
- Write educational articles on sports statistics in the Learning Center.
What we don't do
EdgeIQ is not a sportsbook. We accept no wagers or deposits and make no payouts. Statistical estimates carry real uncertainty and should be read that way. Read our analytics disclaimer and responsible-use guidance.
How we approach research
Transparency, data literacy and model accountability guide both the product and its educational writing. We start with the question a reader is trying to answer, explain what the available data can and cannot support, and distinguish historical test results from predictions made before live games. Articles are edited by Patrick C, Founder & Editor. Sources are listed where applicable; we revise material when the methods or underlying information change. Educational examples are not promises of future performance.
Who is behind it
EdgeIQ's founder and editor is Patrick C. Game data comes from external sports data providers; the models are built and tested by EdgeIQ. Read the full methodology.
